We’re Going Mobile! Spring School Holidays
Offering School Holiday Craft Programs has been a quintessential part of Frankston Craft Clubs first year. Most often found at Karingal PLACE, we’ve also been invited to facilitate activities at the Makers and Shakers Market, Frankston Art Centre, Mount Martha Community House, and Bayside Makerspace.
While we love bringing these activities to life, attendance has fluctuated and more recently been reflected in small craft groups with parent participation. I’ve loved the intimate nature of these workshops and being able to spoil the attendees with attention and materials, but due to venue hire costs they aren’t sustainable.
We’ve been looking for our point of difference, and how we can best deliver creative programs that satisfy the needs of locals. During our Winter Holiday Program, we trialled some workshops being delivered as a mobile option. The feedback was positive! Parents appreciated that we could come to them, and could be more flexible with how and when it was delivered.
Putting our Winter learnings into practice, we’ve decided to offer our Spring School Holidays exclusively as a mobile program that’ll allow parents/organisers more freedom as to when, where, and who will get to participate… This means you could organise it a multi-generational crafter-noon, a surprise activity as part of a sleepover, or just an activity to distract some siblings so you can have some respite.
The benefits of this program are that we can cater more to specific interests and flexibility. The possibilities are endless, and we’re so excited and inspired by that!
So how does it work?
We currently have a Spring School Holiday tab live that lists the activities available and booking links. If you follow the link and fill out the form, it’ll allow me to generate a booking link or invoice. Once paid, your activity is locked in, and we’ll be in contact a week out to reconfirm details.
There are a few location options available for you to choose from on our booking link. We are happy to aim for an outdoor activity at a local park, at a private residence, and can even organise a community space that meets your needs at an additional cost. The beauty is that we can be flexible and can confirm/change the location closer to the date.
We hope you’ll consider organising a crafter-noon with us these upcoming Spring School Holidays, and remember we are always available for private workshops if the timing/activities aren’t quite right for you and your cohort. Just send us a message to get started.
